This year marks the 33rd iteration of the Dulux Colour Awards and the programme is now accepting entries from New Zealand designers. Dulux says they are “hoping to see entrants push creativity to new heights – using colour to create inspired, bold and ambitious spaces”.

New Zealand firms and designers are encouraged to enter in any of the programme’s categories: Commercial Interior – Workplace and Retail, Commercial Interior – Public and Hospitality, Commercial and Multi-residential Exterior, Residential Interior, Single Residential Exterior and Student (Years 1 – 6).

Category winners each receive a $1,000 (AUD) prize and individual category entrants will also be considered for the New Zealand Grand Prix title, which includes a $5,000 (NZD) prize.

Dulux notes that the Awards are “a fantastic opportunity for New Zealand’s design community to showcase their work across Australasia”. In 2018, Patrick Loo of OPL took home an award in the International category for his design of the Crimson Education Office in Newmarket, Auckland.

Entries close on 28 February 2019 and winners will be announced on 8 May 2019 at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne.
