The NZIA has published a book celebrating the works of 2017 Gold Medal winner, Andrew Patterson, and it's on sale now.

In celebration of Andrew Patterson, the youngest ever recipient of the Gold Medal, the New Zealand Institute of Architects has published a book on his professional work. The new book features contributions by respected commentators and architects, including David Mitchell, Rhana Devenport, Jack McKinney, Andrew Barrie, Lynda Simmons and Pip Cheshire. Additionally, John Walsh – a prolific writer about New Zealand’s architecture – contributes an extended interview with Andrew and gives insights into his key works.

Andrew’s Auckland-based practice, Patterson Associates, is responsible for some of New Zealand’s most iconic buildings. From the bright and airy Christchurch Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre to the gleaming waves of the Len Lye Centre in New Plymouth, Andrew has left his mark on cities across the country. The Gold Medal book displays photos of Patterson’s key works and a timeline of his 20-year career, chronicling his achievements.

The book is on sale now from nzia.co.nz.
