Architecture lecturer

The School of Architecture and Planning at the University of Auckland is looking to appoint a lecturer or senior lecturer who is capable of teaching architectural design, technology and sustainable building design.

The School of Architecture and Planning in the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries is New Zealand’s leading educator of architects, urban designers and urban planners, and is highly regarded for its advanced interdisciplinary study and research, innovative design focus and studio based pedagogy.

It has a diverse and internationally recognised academic staff and strong connections with its professional communities. Teaching and research are supported by an outstanding library and databases, excellent digital and traditional workshops, and specialist studio facilities.

The successful applicant will be expected to provide innovative and high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including doctoral supervision. They will have a developed research and publication programme.

Applicants must hold a professionally recognised qualification in architecture and have completed a PhD. Professional registration (e.g. NZRAB, RIBA or AIA) would be an advantage.

Preference will be given to applicants who are experienced in teaching in the area sought, with a strong record of publication and postgraduate supervision.
