Corporate real estate executive of the year

David White, director of the Government Property Management Centre of Expertise, has been named the CoreNet New Zealand Property People Corporate Real Estate Executive of the Year.

White, who is responsible for 1.6 million square metres of office space housing 61,000 government employees, said: “I was grateful to be recognised for the work that my team and I are doing for the New Zealand Government, which has been a huge challenge, but is also thoroughly satisfying and a great opportunity.”

The award was presented at the CoreNet New Zealand 2013 Symposium, held at the Viaduct Events Centre in Auckland on 27 June. The winner is chosen by a panel of industry experts as having the respect of their peers as well as a demonstrable impact on the corporate real estate profession.
