Dulux has announced that entries are now open for the 2018 Dulux DIAlogue on Tour – a design tour in collaboration with the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) and the Designers Institute of New Zealand (DINZ).

DIAlogue on Tour is an inspirational expedition, exclusive to DINZ and DIA members across New Zealand and Australia.

The tour will take the five winning design professionals – four from Australia and one from New Zealand – to Tokyo and LA in August 2018 for an inspiring tour of the latest in Japanese and American design.

“The Dulux DIAlogue on Tour had many highlights – aside from the exceptional studios and spaces we visited – it was a privilege to understand more fully the similarities between international design cultures and communities,” says Rufus Knight, the 2017 New Zealand recipient.

A panel chaired by DIA national president Claire Beale will choose the recipients of the scholarship. Andrea Lucena-Orr (Dulux), Mim Fanning (Mim Design, 2017 Dulux DIAlogue on Tour attendee), Mark Healey (Bates Smart) and Bernadette Wilson (Cumulus Studio) round out the panel.

Winners will be selected by answering questions that address their contribution to design practice and thinking, personal design philosophy and what inspires the applicant.

Entries close strictly on 14 May 2018.
