TV3, in conjunction with Imagination Television, has announced the production of a New Zealand version of popular UK show Grand Designs.

Grand Designs, the popular UK television series, which has been running for 14 years and is broadcast in 18 countries, will soon be getting its own New Zealand series.

TV3, which broadcasts the UK series and its Australian counterpart, has commissioned a local series of the programme that follows inspirational and unusual architectural home build projects.

Auckland-based Imagination Television is producing the series and is on the hunt for interesting and inspirational home builds to be filmed over the next 18 months.
