Organised by the Passivhaus Institute, the 2014 Passive House Architecture Competition has been set up to recognise architecturally significant buildings that also meet passive house criteria.

In order to participate in the competition, projects must be certified as a passive house building or EnerPHit refubishment and registered in the International Passive House Association’s passive house database by the submission deadline - 30 September 2013.

An independent jury will judge the architectural integrity of the submitted projects, which this year, include urban planning projects. Winners will be announced during the 2014 International Passive House Conference in Aachen, Germany. Following the announcement, a travelling exhibition of the winning projects will then embark on a global tour.
