Jasmax has announced the appointment of four new principals to the Jasmax leadership team on 10 July 2015. Jerome Buckwell, Sarah Hayden, Neil Martin and James Whetter have all been appointed with effect from 1 July.

Since joining Jasmax in 2009, Jerome Buckwell has held project lead roles on a number of projects, before becoming Head of Design Technology. Jerome has worked on a wide range of projects from the Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin, masterplanning work for the University of Auckland and AUT University, as well as numerous design competitions. 

Sarah Hayden joined Jasmax in 1999, and since then she has developed significant expertise in the design and delivery of projects within the healthcare sector. Sarah’s most recent work has been in Christchurch, where she has been an integral part of the design and delivery of the 30,000m² Burwood Hospital redevelopment. Sarah is also currently delivering the University of Otago’s new dental school in Otago.

Since joining Jasmax in 2010, Neil was project team leader and overall project architect for the Highbrook Town Centre in Auckland; a commercial development bringing together a range of retail and service providers in one complex. Most recently, he has been the Auckland-based project leader on the Auckland War Memorial Museum masterplan. Neil maintains an interest in teaching Architecture and Urban Design through tutoring and as a guest critic. 

James Whetter has a keen interest in sustainability, is a member of the Jasmax ‘green team’, and has experience in Green Star and Living Building Challenge projects. James joined Jasmax in 2011 and his recent projects include two mixed-use developments; The Terrace, which is currently under construction in Christchurch’s CBD and incorporates retail, hospitality and office space configured around a series of public laneways, and the recently completed Highbrook Town Centre.
