New development for Christchurch
The Landing, an 8975m2 mixed-use development by The Buchan Group on the south-west outskirts of Christchurch.
The development will include 2000m2 of retail and office space spread across three buildings.
Construction on stage one of The Landing is set to begin this month (May) following the completion of designs for the new retail and mixed-use centre in Christchurch’s Wigram Skies community.
Images released by The Buchan Group of the development show retail, dining, commercial and community facilities in a high street-style environment. Appointed by Ngai Tahu Property, The Buchan Group, in conjunction with Kamo Marsh Landscape Architects, has designed two key components of the $20 million precint – the town square and high street.
The 8975m2 site will include 2000m2 of retail and office space spread across three buildings and a 2600m2 supermarket.
The full project is due for completion by mid-2015 and will include around 1800 homes as well as the retail and office buildings.
