Recently-appointed principals at Warren and Mahoney’s Auckland studio, Mat Brown and Ilona Haghshenas.

One of New Zealand’s largest firms, Warren and Mahoney, announced last week that it has appointed two new principals for its Auckland studio, bolstering the senior leadership team. 

Ilona Haghshenas and Mat Brown both previously held senior positions before being promoted to principals. Haghshenas joined Warren and Mahoney in 2016 and has more than 18 years’ experience. She has worked on large-scale projects like the New Zealand International Convention Centre and the expansion of Auckland International Airport.

Brown has been a senior architect with the firm since 2014 and he has worked on a diverse range of projects including multi-residential housing, commercial projects and medical facilities. Most recently, Brown’s strong digital focus has helped him in workng on the Quad 7 project at Auckland Airport and a new, 786-bed student housing project for the University of Auckland.
