Sub-Zero Wolf kitchen design contest

Entries for the Sub-Zero Wolf kitchen design contest open on 1 January 2012. The overall winners will receive $40,000, second place receives $20,000 and third place receives $10,000. There is also a prize for the online designers’ choice and a prize for the online people’s choice. All winners will be assisted with a post-contest PR campaign.

Only professionals can enter the competition. This includes kitchen dealers, kitchen designers, architects, interior designers and builders/remodellers. Contestants may enter more than one design.

The kitchen entered into the competition must include at least one full-size Sub-Zero built-in or integrated refrigeration unit, and must also include at least one Wolf cooking appliance as primary food preparation equipment. This includes ranges, rangetops, ovens and cooktops. Ventilation, microwave ovens and warming drawers are not included.

The following materials must be included in every entry:

  1. Floor plan and elevation or perspective drawings
  2. A minimum of two colour photographs of the completed design – additional photos are welcomed with “before” shots if possible
  3. A short written narrative (no more than two hundred words) describing your kitchen design – we want to hear about the design challenges you faced and how you overcame them.

Regional winners will be announced during regional gala events in February 2013. The winners’ conference and awards event will be held at the Sub-Zero and Wolf headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin, USA in the first half of 2013. Designers’ and people’s choice award voting begins online after the regional celebration events in February 2013.
