National Architecture Conference 2012

The 2012 National Architecture Conference will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Its theme, “experience,” builds on ideas introduced at the 2011 Natural Artifice conference. It will focus closely on the real, sensed experience of architecture within its natural and constructed settings and the experience of designing and making architecture.

Shane Thompson, principal of Shane Thompson Architects and past principal of BVN Architecture; Michael Rayner, principal of Cox Rayner Architects; and Peter Skinner, president of the Queensland chapter of the Institute, are the creative directors of the 2012 conference.

Speakers will include Wang Shu, Kjetil Thorsen, Peter Rich, Anuradha Mathur, Dilip da Cunha, Isay Weinfeld, Inaki Abalos, Luis Feduchi, Richard Kirk, Paul Finch and Rachel Neeson.

Tickets are available via the Australian Institute of Architects’ website.
