Tone Connections

Following the success of the multi-space installation One Song, Three Composers created at CentralTrak, The University of Texas at Dallas Artists Residency, Auckland based artist Shannon Novak will create a sound network through mixed media made up of a primary exhibition space in the AV Room at the Pah Homestead, inner satellite spaces (other spaces within the Pah Homestead), and outer satellite spaces (other spaces in Auckland linked to the Pah Homestead).

Novak’s work explores the interrelationships between sound, colour, form, time, space, and social context. Novak has developed large-scale public installations including work on a light box in Britomart, a pyramid in Queenstown, and the Clock Tower in New Plymouth. He has also created work abroad including a site-specific installation in Denver, USA, and a cross-space installation that included gallery spaces in Australia, Italy, Belgium, Wales, Nigeria, Iceland, South Africa, USA and UAE.
