A growing team for Construkt Architects
Auckland-based Construkt Architects has recently appointed three new directors that will manage the practice alongside founder and director David Gibbs. Established architects Russell Cannons, Madushin Amarasekera and Karl Barker will take on these directorship roles.
In addition, Glen Kevey is a newly-appointed principal and will join the leadership team. As well as growing the management team of the practice, Construkt has appointed three new associates: Kate Watson, Rob Meneses and Dan Branda.
Gibbs expresses confidence in this new group of leaders saying, “Our new management team is solid. The baton has been handed over and it’s in exceptional hands. Our clients, partners and staff should feel confident and excited about what’s possible with these three joining me at the helm.”
Russell Cannons has been a registered architect for over 20 years and joined the Construkt team in 2013. He prides himself on clear communication and client relationships. Madushin Amarasekera is a Building Information Modeling (BIM) and 3D modelling expert and has experience across China and the Pacific. Karl Barker joined Construkt in 2002 and has been faithfully working on their most complex briefs for over 15 years.
Russell says, “There are now four of us heading up the practice, each unique, strong individuals, bringing specific skills and experience to the table. This is definitely a case where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”
