This year marks Blum’s third year of partnership with the Interior Awards, having come on board as a sponsor in 2020. We asked Blum’s Tania Bailey to share with us a past winner that really stood out, her favourite hospo spot and what she’s looking forward to with this year’s awards.

Tania, tell us about one of the previous winners of the Interior Awards that resonated with you and why?

Tania: My favourite is the Clark Bardsley Installation Award winner from 2018. I have a passion for early and mid-20th century design. The nod to design history and the art practice of installation in fine art is wonderful, while also being full of whimsy.

Is there a favourite hospitality spot, either here or overseas, that you always recommend?

Tania: Al Brown’s Depot Eatery at 86 Federal Street in Auckland. It’s a fresh, casual dining experience with a uniquely Kiwi menu. Always a special meal for local or overseas guests.

What have you enjoyed most about being a sponsor of the Interior Awards?

Tania: This will be my first year attending. I’ve been involved in design for my entire working career and have been with Blum for five years, along with 20 years of experience in the kitchen industry. I’m looking forward to a new and stimulating event, showcasing the best design for 2022.
