Nineteen projects were celebrated at the Canterbury and Westland Architectural Designers New Zealand (ADNZ) Resene Architectural Design Awards on Friday 16 August in Christchurch.

Keryn Davis, CEO of ADNZ, said all the Canterbury winners greatly impressed the judges and were a force in the architecture arena.

“We are incredibly proud of our Canterbury members. There is such diversity, attention to detail, a deep level of understanding and an incredible amount of talent and creativity from the region. Year after year these designers come to win. Well done to all of them,” said Keryn.

Some standout designs for the ADNZ judges include: Augusta Treehouse, where feature windows provide views of the Avon River; The Graham Residence, a dramatic man-cave featuring an expansive vehicle collection; and, in the commercial space, Threefold Studio, an empty warehouse converted into a home, a café, and a florist.
