Global recognition for Stack’s Interior Award-Winning UDC Finance
STACK Interiors’ design for UDC Finance Limited is gaining international attention, with the workplace project longlisted in the 2025 Dezeen Awards

Selected in the Workplace Interior (Large) category, the UDC Finance project is the only New Zealand project to be recognised this year, and will be judged alongside projects and practices from New York, London, Madrid and Melbourne.
The recognition builds on the project’s win at the 2025 Interior Awards, where it took out the Workplace over 1000sqm category.
David Plaistowe, Stack Design Director, said, “We’re incredibly proud to see our work recognised on the international stage, alongside leading practices and projects from across the globe. UDC Finance’s trust in our team allowed us to create something that reflects both their brand and the spirit of Aotearoa. The result showcases not only innovative workplace design but also the unique connection to New Zealand’s land and heritage. We’re grateful for this partnership and thrilled to celebrate UDC’s new home as a benchmark for local and international excellence.”
From more than 4,300 entries across 89 countries, the Dezeen longlist places UDC Finance’s Auckland workplace on the global stage. The shortlist will be announced next month, with winners revealed in London this November.

2025 Interior Award citation:
“In a standout example of workplace design done right, the designers have combined strategic spatial planning, a clear narrative, innovative materials and high-level execution to create a distinctly local work environment that is sharp, intelligent and restrained in all the right ways. The concept of organising the floor layout and spatial zoning around a typical Aotearoa farm is both creative and meaningful, reflecting a strong connection to the whenua and acknowledging the client’s commitment to New Zealand. Clever detailing — such as the sophisticated-yet-simple reference to the classic barn door — paired with a warm colour palette, tan upholstery, timber joinery and lush interior greenery, creates a sleek, welcoming office with depth and meaning in its design.
