Golf meets the Olympics
More than 140 industry professionals teed off at Pakuranga Golf Course on Monday, 15 February for the annual New Zealand Institute of Building (NZIOB) PlaceMakers Golf Day.
The Olympic-themed day culminated with a dinner, prize giving and drinks at the clubhouse. Gibson & O’Connor team took out the overall competition, while the team from Leighs Construction won the award for ‘most golf’ on the day.
Other big winners included the team from White Associates, deemed best dressed – for the third year in a row. Longest Drive went to Chris Faulkner of Hawkins Construction and there was a four-way tie for closest to the pin: Dan Ryder of Winstone Wallboards; Dennis Peat of ITM Bay of Islands; Craig Stokes of Prime Construction and Interiors; and, John Rydwanski of Nauhria.
A tentative date of Monday 13 February has been set for the 2017 event.
