Interior Awards 2020: Meet Kada

The Interior Awards wouldn’t be possible without companies that are dedicated to good design. Kada joins the raft of loyal sponsors who have been supporting the awards from the beginning. Here, the people behind the brand tell us what’s been inspiring them.

What is your all-time favourite book?

Kate Gilbert: Fall of Giants by Ken Follett. It follows five interrelated families throughout the 20th century. I love that there are two further books to complete the trilogy.

What is your top podcast recommendation?

A Jean Prouvé-designed chair.

Jasmine Ericson: Swindled – I would highly recommend this podcast. I love listening to all of the different stories, which are all about white-collar crime and con artists. Each episode is well researched and the presenter has a great, deadpan delivery and a dry sense of humour that is super entertaining and fascinating. There are currently three seasons worth of episodes to binge on!

What is one album that you can’t stop listening to?

Maurice Ward: Solarized (Refreshed) by Sola Rosa. It’s easy to listen to if you are into a mix of reggae, hip hop, funk, soul and Latin all in one. A great album to get your quiet groove on. ‘Me In Your Shadow’ will get things grooving!

Name one designer who is inspiring you right now?

Dave White: Jean Prouvé. I’m Inspired by his forward-thinking architecture and designs that are still so relevant today.
