Karmen Hoare: This project resonates deeply with us as a proud Wellington-born and bred business, founded by a Wellington family and still manufacturing all our products right here in the region. It reflects the strength of local innovation and craftsmanship — values that have been at the heart of our business from the very beginning.

2023 Winner - Hospitality: Picnicka by CTRL Space.  Image:  Sarah Grace

TJ Lee:  Through its clever and creative use of colour and materials, with a strong focus on sustainability — repurposing local materials that would have otherwise ended up in landfill. Like Picnicka, we believe great design can also be responsible design. Sustainability sits at the heart of our people, products, and business.
