Meet Sub Zero and Wolf: Interior Awards 2021 sponsor
Introducing our 2021 Interior Awards sponsors: Back for a second year as a sponsor, Sub Zero and Wolf, proudly distributed by Eurotech Design Limited offer specialist kitchen appliances for superb cooking. They tell us about what they've been up to this year.
The Interior Awards have been running for 10 years now. What is one interior space you’ve found rewarding, inspiring or innovative over the last decade?
Solomon: The kitchen in the Menzies POP house by Architects’ Creative. It’s an exquisite look that is stylish and classy, with spacious planning and high attention to detail. It’s luxurious yet a family-friendly kitchen giving a master class finish.
Aaron: The International at 9 Princes Street in Auckland. These apartments are contemporary and timeless: it’s a luxuriously restrained aesthetic using materials that have been chosen for both their beauty and durability – natural stone, custom timber cabinetry and wide-boarded timber flooring.
In this last year of New Zealanders exploring our country, what was your favourite spot that you discovered (or rediscovered)?
Sophia: We have rediscovered Martin’s Bay, an hour and a half north of Auckland. It’s a shallow, sheltered bay area, so it’s great for the kids and we’ve made a habit of going up there as our annual camping retreat. Teaching kids how to fish, now that they are old enough, has been so much fun.
Tell us about one new skill or interest that you’ve acquired over this last crazy year?
Solomon: I have gained an interest in working out in the gym and encouraging those I care about to join in with me for improved health, relaxation and a great way to clear the mind, to be ready and focused for the day ahead.
At a time when we’ve all binged TV, books, podcasts and other media more than ever before, what was your favourite find?
Aaron: Formula 1: Drive to Survive on Netflix.
