Recap: NZIA Gold Medallists
The 2015 New Zealand Architecture Awards are almost upon us, which is an ideal time to reflect on the previous recipients of the NZIA Gold Medal in years past. Below we feature two fascinating videos from the New Zealand Institute of Architects of both the 2013 Gold Medal winner Pip Cheshire of Cheshire Architects, and the 2014 winner; Patrick Clifford of Architectus.
The videos take a look at some of their past work, feature interviews with colleagues and the architects themselves, and delve into their methods and ways of working.
ArchitectureNow looks forward to finding out who will be taking home the 2015 Gold Medal at the awards evening on 30 October.
Also at the 2015 awards for the first time, New Zealand Architecture Award-winning buildings in the categories of housing, commercial and public architecture will be considered for the Signature Awards, which are named for three influential New Zealand architects – Sir Miles Warren, and both the late John Scott and Sir Ian Athfield.
