Studio Pacific announces changes to Board of Directors
Studio Pacific has announced changes to its Board of Directors, saying farewell to Linda Meade and welcoming Leopino (Leo) Foliaki in the role of Independent Director.
With over 25 years of experience in corporate strategy, finance, and consulting, Linda Meade has been a vital member of the Studio Pacific Architecture Board of Directors since 2019, says the practice.
Board Chair Helen Anderson reflected on Meade’s contributions, saying:
“Linda has brought a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective that has been invaluable to the board. Her leadership, guidance, and commitment to cultivating future leadership have been instrumental in positioning Studio Pacific for the years ahead. On behalf of the board, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Linda for her dedication and contributions.”
Taking on the role of Independent Director is Leopino (Leo) Foliaki. Foliaki has more than 30 years’ commercial experience at a leading New Zealand corporate consulting company, with interest in sustainability and the community impacts of design.
Nick Barratt-Boyes, Managing Director of Studio Pacific, commented on the changes, “Linda’s contributions have been crucial in supporting our long-term vision. She has helped steer us through both challenges and opportunities, and her departure leaves big shoes to fill. That said, we are also excited to welcome Leo to the board. His diverse experience, forward-thinking approach, Tāmaki Makaurau presence, and knowledge of the industry will be instrumental in helping us build on the strong foundation we have created.”
Meade — who will be focusing on other projects such as her role as Founding Director of the Wellington-based consulting and advisory group, Kalimena — said, “It’s hard to believe my time at Studio Pacific Architecture is coming to an end. As I stood in the Studio last week after my final board meeting, I felt a mixture of gratitude, and excitement for what’s still to come for the incredble team at SPA.”
