Terms and conditions for submitting and publishing content on ArchitectureNow.co.nz.

1. Introduction

ArchitectureNow.co.nz (“we”, “our”, “us”) welcomes submissions of projects, news and other materials (“Content”) for potential publication. By submitting content to us in any form (including by email or file transfer), you agree to the following terms and conditions.

2. Ownership and permissions

2.1 You confirm that you are the owner of all intellectual property rights in the content, or that you have obtained all necessary rights, licences, permissions and consents to submit the content for publication by ArchitectureNow.co.nz.

2.2 You agree that you are solely responsible for ensuring that any third-party materials (including photographs, drawings, renders, video and written copy) used in your submission are cleared for publication, and that all necessary credits and attributions are supplied.

2.3 You grant ArchitectureNow.co.nz a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to reproduce, publish, edit, distribute and promote the content (in full or in part) across our website, social media channels, newsletters and related digital or print platforms. This licence continues unless, and until, you withdraw permission in writing.

3. Use and editing

3.1 We reserve the right to edit, adapt, crop or otherwise modify submitted content for clarity, length or design layout, while maintaining the integrity of the original work.

3.2 We may decline to publish any content at our discretion.

4. Accuracy and liability

4.1 You are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted is accurate, not misleading, and does not infringe upon any rights (including copyright, moral rights, privacy or confidentiality).

4.2 ArchitectureNow.co.nz will not be liable for any loss, damage or expense (including legal costs) arising out of, or in connection with, the publication of content supplied by contributors, including any claims of copyright or other intellectual property infringement.

4.3 If a copyright issue or dispute arises regarding any content you have submitted, you agree to:

  • Co-operate fully with ArchitectureNow.co.nz in investigating and resolving the issue;

  • Provide documentation or proof of rights if requested; and

  • Indemnify and hold harmless ArchitectureNow.co.nz, its editors, publishers, employees and partners from any claims, damages or legal actions resulting from or related to your submission.

5. Removal or correction of content

If ArchitectureNow.co.nz becomes aware that content has been published in error, or in potential breach of copyright, we may remove, replace or amend the content at our discretion. We may also contact the submitting party or the rights holder to resolve the matter in good faith.

6. Credits and attributions

Where possible, we will credit authors, photographers and other contributors, as provided by the submitter. It is the submitter’s responsibility to ensure all credits are accurate and complete.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
