The Architecture Photography Competition winners were named on the 23rd of September, on the final day of the finalists’ exhibition, part of the 2024 Aotearoa Festival of Architecture at Otago Polytechnic.

The inaugural competition championed by judge and renowned architectural photographer Simon Devitt was, he says, “a resounding success”, with Devitt and fellow jury members Mark Boland and Graeme Campbell choosing the finalists from over 500 entries.

The prize-giving took place on the evening of the 23rd of September in Dunedin with what organisers say was “a fantastic turnout”. The winners of the photography competition took away awards for respective categories, with a Supreme Award being given to an overall winner.

The 2024 award-winners are listed below. The competition was open to amateur, ‘non-professional’* photographers only. You can view the seven awarded architectural photographs in the slideshow above.
