Winners announced: Resene Total Colour Awards 2019
The annual Resene Total Colour Awards honoured 22 projects on 28 August at the Auckland Town Hall. The overall winner of the night was Athfield Architects for the Waterfront House interior, taking home the Master Nightingale Award.
Nick Nightingale of Resene said, “This project cleverly delivers on both function and style, using colours from the port environment. We congratulate Athfield Architects for their masterful way of using colour in an extraordinary interior design for Lyttelton Port Company which helps bring people together from all sides of the port operation.”
Additionally, a Lifetime Achievement Award was given to interior designer Debbie Abercrombie. Judges noted, “If Debbie Abercrombie was a colour, she would be the rainbow. Debbie’s long and successful career as a colour expert has seen her help many clients, from large to small, navigate their way through colour choices to get just the right palette for their project.”
The awards programme is now in its 10th year and Resene marketing manager Karen Warman notes, “The Resene Total Colour Awards were launched to encourage and celebrate excellent and creative use of colour, to showcase striking colour palettes and combinations and provide fresh inspiration.”
