Building Tour and Christmas Drinks in Wellington

Last year Stephenson & Turner opened a new design studio in Wellington. The Studio is on the top floor of a 110-year-old building and has been awarded a 6 Green Star Office Interiors. You can join the New Zealand Green Building Council and CoreNet NZ members to get a look inside this 1900’s loft style open plan studio and understand how it achieved a 6 Green Star Certified Rating - the highest level attainable under Green Star.

The studio fitout features eight operable skylights that maximise the use of daylight and natural ventilation (automatically open when CO2 levels get too high) and in conjunction with the intelligent lighting system, adjusts the artificial lighting output (to conserve energy) in accordance with the daylight. 90% of the construction waste was recycled or reduced (everything from their furniture to the demolition partitions was looked at how it could be reused). It also features radiant heating; Low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) paints and adhesives; a green wall and more.
