The Forty Years Drawn exhibition takes a closer look at 200 sketchbooks and journals from architect Pete Bossley.

Award-winning architect. Ardent traveller. Sketch artist. Over many years, Pete Bossley has documented his extended travels in hundreds of sketchbooks. To pore through them now is to revisit his past, and escape to Japan, Italy, Greece and Turkey to Scandinavia, Europe, and the United States of America. His journals capture a record of the buildings, places, and people he encountered along the way.

This exhibition takes a closer look at 200 sketchbooks and journals, which alongside his musings on the world, reflect his education on architecture as a young man.

Expanding on the recently-released book One Year Drawn, the images celebrate the infinite possibilities of drawing, painting, and architecture.

This exhibition runs at Objectspace gallery in Ponsonby from 1 August to 11 October.
