Festival of Architecture 2019

Each year, the New Zealand Institute of Architects presents the Festival of Architecture: a celebration of architecture and design across the country and an opportunity to engage the wider public with the industry. The 2019 iteration takes place from 20 to 29 September.

This year’s schedule of events is packed full with talks, competitions, walking tours, film screenings and much more from Auckland and the Waikato all the way to Otago. The always popular Open Studios – where design firms around the country invite the public into their workspaces – returns this year along with crowd favourite World [PARK]ing Day, where miniature parks spring up all over cities.
