Rooflogic Spring Series: Dr Joe Lstiburek
Rooflogic is incredibly excited to be bringing Dr. Joe Lstiburek to New Zealand. Joe is a noted authority on energy efficient construction techniques and heads one of the Building America programme teams for the U.S. Department of Energy and is a former Director of Research of the Housing and Urban development Association of Canada. Widely credited with the “Perfect Wall” concept, The Wall Street Journal referred to Dr. Lstiburek as “The Dean of North American Building Science.”
Designers and building practitioners travel from all over the world to hear Joe speak and, Rooflogic reports, “We are still not quite sure how we managed to twist his arm to get him to come to New Zealand for the Rooflogic Spring Lecture Series. But the important thing is that he will be here in the first week of September and he will be speaking in your town.”
Joe’s design experience in areas such as air/vapour control, thermal performance and condensation management in buildings allows him to speak with intelligence and practical wisdom in regard to many of the challenges and opportunities that are facing our industry right now.
Rooflogic notes that the fundamental design principles Joe will articulate in his lecture will be invaluable for both you and your colleagues.
The Rooflogic Spring Lecture Series will take place in:
- Auckland on 3 September at NZME Central – iLounge 2 Graham St, CBD
- Wellington on 4 September at Harbourside Function Venue, 4 Taranaki Street, Te Aro
