This year’s annual lecture in memory of one of New Zealand’s great architects will be presented by Australian architect Clare Cousins, a fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects and the current National President Elect.

Clare established Clare Cousins Architects in Melbourne in 2005 and has since been engaged in a variety of well-regarded projects, with a particular focus on housing and projects that nurture community.

Recent works include a “carbon positive” house at Cape Paterson (Victoria) that has a 10-Star energy rating and was constructed using zero-waste and building biology philosophies, and the award-winning Baffle and St Kilda East Houses.

Clare was an inaugural investor in Nightingale Housing (a socially, financially and ecologically sustainable multi-residential housing model where architects take the lead as both designer and developer) and is currently undertaking her own Nightingale project.

Runs 1–3pm. 10 CPD points - Design.
