New York, New York
David Howell, an award-winning New York-based Kiwi architect will be in Auckland to present a one-off seminar New York, New York. A graduate of the University of Auckland, Howell set up his first architecture practice in 1990 before taking the plunge and relocating to New York in 1992, where he set up DHD Design.
Sponsored by Auckland University and supported by ADNZ, Howell will share his unique outlook on design and architecture and how his Kiwi upbringing and his Manhattan way of life have sculpted his design ethos.
With more than 25 years’ experience, Howell pairs two distinct design philosophies from two hemispheres – the towering history of New York and America’s architectural traditions with the indoor-outdoor living and relaxed environmental design common to New Zealand and Australia.
David Howell has been recognised with numerous awards and his work appears in many national and international publications. He has been exhibited widely in both New York and New Zealand.
The seminar will begin at 6.30pm. For bookings, visit the website.
