Sustainable Housing Master Classes
As well as the Sustainable Housing Summit 2012, the New Zealand Green Building Council are also offering a selection of Master Classes the day following the Summit on Thursday 28 June. Visitors can come along for for a single class or the whole day (one plenary class and three 90min classes across two streams to choose). These classes will delve into the detail across a range of topics addressing sustainable housing strategies, practices and research.
Plenary Master Class:
8.30am Improving energy use: effective houses and efficient appliances.
Stream 1:
10.30am The hot air on good ventilation.
1.00pm Water heating: solar and beyond
2.30pm Opportunities and impacts of efficient lighting.
Stream 2:
10.30am Making every drop count. Water efficiency for high-performance homes.
1.00pm Best practice project management for green home certification.
2.30pm Designing and building for waste minimization (AKA save $250 on every building project).
