Born and raised in London, UK and having graduated with a first in Southeast Asian Studies from SOAS in 2005, Oliver Clasper has gone on to live and work in Jakarta and Hong Kong. Over the past decade his writing and photography has been featured in Time Out, Vice, Hypebeast, Mixmag, FACT, DJ Mag, Wire, The Quietus, Clash, i-D, Urbis, Philips, Resident Advisor, The Jakarta Post, Prestige, and the South China Morning Post - among others.
He is regularly commissioned to write and shoot for various publications, companies, record labels, and individuals, and has previously worked on the acclaimed documentary The Act of Killing, as well as taking up the posts of news editor at the Associated Press in London and the production editor of Time Out Hong Kong.
Currently based in Hong Kong.
