Brad is a Director of Peddlethorp with more than 25 years of experience in New Zealand and the UK. His expertise is extensive, having worked on diverse projects including multi-unit housing, corrections, health, masterplanning, education, and commercial. He has led multi-disciplinary teams on some of the practice’s most significant developments, such as Seascape, New Zealand’s tallest residential tower, the Stamford Apartments and Hotel redevelopment in central Auckland, and major Christchurch projects, including the Ballantynes Redevelopment, 222 High Street, and the ANZ Centre. Brad’s pragmatic approach integrates analytical and technical insight with an emphasis on clarity in resolving complex design issues. He also oversees the development of Peddlethorp’s renowned documentation and quality assurance systems. This is allied to his deep knowledge of materials and construction systems, and a broader commercial understanding of design, construction, and regulatory controls involved with the successful assembly of buildings. Brad regularly provides expert evidence for construction disputes and is actively involved in teaching at tertiary institutions and architectural graduate programmes.
