Sarah Rowlands

Sarah Rowlands studied photography in the ’90’s at Christchurch Polytechnic, then moved almost immediately afterwards to London, working her way up as an assistant, and little jobs, then bigger jobs. Eventually, after some years in Sydney and two children later, ending up back in Christchurch in 2016 where she’s continued to shape her work photographing the built and design environment with a strong thread of portrait work, often with both worlds colliding.
