Partner content: As an increasing emphasis is placed on creating a sense of luxury in the bathroom, Adesso has developed a range of European-inspired products for the New Zealand market at refreshingly affordable prices.

We asked Adesso’s Louise Cook for her thoughts on where bathrooms are heading. “Colour and finishing on bathroom products are always evolving,” she says. “There’s no doubt that black is here to stay but new trends in tapware finishes, such as brushed nickel, copper and gun metal, are gaining in popularity.”

Adesso is also aware of the move towards smaller, more-compact housing and an increase in apartment living. “Space is a huge factor,” says Cook, “whether it’s smaller bathrooms or just ensuring all the family’s needs are met within the bathroom, with mirror cabinets, shelving units or vanities with extra drawer space.”

Another trend Adesso is seeing is the movement towards an ageing population, with comfort-height toilets now becoming a standard rather than an option, and easy access to showers and grab rails increasingly considered in bathroom renovation and new build designs.

Part of an exclusive range available at Mico, Adesso offers a full selection of styles at various price points. While Cook recommends customers speak to a consultant at one of Mico’s 40 bathroom showrooms around New Zealand, Adesso products can also be bought online.
