This year marks Eurotech’s third year of partnership with the Interior Awards, having come on board with the programme in 2020. We asked the team to share with us some of their favourite interiors, as well as some thoughts about the Awards.

Sophia, tell us about one of the previous winners of the Interior Awards that resonated with you and why?

Sophia: I love natural materials, wood and steel. The ubiquitous ‘jade green’ Hong Kong-inspired Kitchen by Atelier Jones Design was playful, warm and a truly inviting family kitchen that inspires you to get inside it and cook. The use of raw steel on the back wall and the peninsula being an open structure on both sides gives a certain attitude to simplicity. Being so open keeps everything in reach and in full sight, which leaves you with an elegant way of imagining a functional life while working in the kitchen.

Moose, is there a favourite hospitality spot, either here or overseas, that you always recommend?

Moose: It would have to be C.G.R. Merchant & Co – a coffee, gin and rum cocktail bar on Courtney Place in Wellington.

Charlotte, tell us what you enjoy most about being a sponsor of the Interior Awards?

Charlotte: For a country that is relatively bijou in size, Aotearoa New Zealand has some seriously big designer talent working within its shores. While fans of architecture and design will already be familiar with established international talents and brands, there is some seriously impressive local talent with all the skills and vision to be the next big thing on a global scale. Being able to sponsor the Interior Awards not only helps raise awareness for our own business but, hopefully, we will be that stepping stone to the talented winner becoming the next big thing.

Sub-Zero, the specialist in refrigeration, has pioneered the art and science of food preservation since 1945. From the moment a fig is picked, a clock begins to tick. For its flavour is never better, brighter or sweeter than when it is perfectly ripe. Prolonging that freshness – that fleeting peak taste and texture – is the single-minded mission of Sub-Zero.

Wolf, the specialist in cooking, offers a professional kitchen pedigree, the service of a family-owned and operated company, and the pioneering products built and tested to last for over 20 years of predictably delicious dishes. Friends gathered around a table. Family recipes, lovingly served. And dishes, passed with pride – each one a seared, succulent or slow-roasted masterpiece – to create those moments worth savouring.

Live graciously, live freshly, live colourfully, live adventurously, live gratefully, live respectfully, live richly, live joyfully, live deliciously, live adventurously – from Sub-Zero and Wolf New Zealand.
