This year represents Plytech Panelsseventh year of partnership with the Interior Awards, having come on board as a sponsor in 2017. We spoke to National Specification Representative, Ross Millin and Architectural Consultant, Kelly Morris about exciting changes and the respect and admiration they hold for the interior and spatial design community.

Tell us about any recent innovations in your business that you’d like interior designers and architects to know about.

Ross Millin (RM): We have merged with our sister company to form one brand, Plytech Panels. By consolidating each brand’s strength, our goal is to be the most accessible supplier in New Zealand — offering a broad range of solutions that simplify processes for the industry.

What do you most enjoy about being involved with the Interior Awards?

Kelly Morris: Designing beautiful spaces takes a lot of time, effort and creativity. When truly stunning spaces have been thought into existence, it’s a great privilege for architects to have a platform to showcase their work to the rest of the industry. The Interior Awards allow this level of acknowledgement to happen.

What are you looking forward to this year?

RM: We launched a new, non-combustible cladding solution to the market this year and we’re extremely proud of what we’ve achieved. After having gone through the rather rigorous process of material selection, system design and testing, it’s incredibly satisfying to see the finished outcome. The feedback thus far has exceeded expectations, making it all the more rewarding.
