Designer Katie Revie and her architectural graduate partner James Morgan from Warren and Mahoney are behind the design and fitout of the chic Revie flagship boutique at 78 Ponsonby Road. The boutique is the first for Revie, which was born in 2014. While footwear will always be its first focus, the store is also home to the beautiful collections of young New Zealand fashion designers Lucy McIntosh and Mia Undone. The space also features an exclusive hand-picked selection of vintage kimonos, while the shelves boast luxury candles from Mackinven & Co.

Katie Revie says, “It’s been a long time coming, but finally Revie has a dedicated space to house its collections each season. It was imperative to me to find a location that felt just right. This area of Ponsonby Road, where we’ve opened our doors, is full of incredible New Zealand retail history. Many iconic designers have graced these spaces for years and now with the likes of Ingrid Starnes and Good as Gold next door, it’s an exciting time for Kiwi designers and retailers – new and original.”

Based in Auckland, Katie studied architecture and completed her Masters at Victoria University in 2012, before deciding to try her hand at designing leather footwear, or ‘houses for the feet’. The Revie label takes design cues from the requirements of the urban-dweller in the ever-growing metropolises of New Zealand.
