This year’s NZIOB conference brings together keynote speakers, panel discussions, and roundtable sessions to detail how to implement best practice in managing people, performance and productivity in 2024.

The conference’s opening Keynote speaker is David Chandler OAM — the NSW Building Commissioner who has taken on the mammoth task of improving the quality of construction and restoring trust in the industry in NSW. He will share what he’s learnt in his role as the Building Commissioner since 2019.

Another keynote speaker is Bridget White, Senior Associate at Warren and Mahoney, who has just returned to New Zealand after almost 15 years working at the cutting edge of digital technology in construction in Norway. She will share what she’s learnt and how we can have a digital first approach to build productivity in the sector.

The day will be finished off by hearing construction consultant at DPS Consulting, Dyann Stewart’s story of recovery and resilience. In October of 2021 Dyann came off her bike resulting in a staggering 31 broken bones, ligaments torn and a severe concussion which led to post-concussion syndrome. Dyann will be telling her story publicly for the first time at BuildUP24.
