The New Zealand Institute of Building (NZIOB) has opened entries for the 27th iteration of their national awards programme. The New Zealand Building Industry Awards celebrate excellence in the construction behind the country’s top projects. Submit your entries by 8 May 2020.

The programme includes 11 categories:

  • Projects between $8.0 and $25.0 million
  • Projects between $25 and $50 million
  • Projects over $50 million

The winners of the six cost-based categories, Innovation Award, Safety Excellence Award, Consultants Award, and the Interdisciplinary Collaboration Award, are also eligible to take home the Supreme Award.

Chief executive of the NZIOB, Malcom Fleming, says the awards are “open to those who participate in the design and delivery of New Zealand’s built environment”. He continues, “Unlike other industry awards, the New Zealand Building Industry Awards reach across professional boundaries and provide entrants with recognition from industry as opposed to acknowledgement from professional peers only.”

Winners will be announced at a gala dinner on 21 August 2020.
