2018 NZILA Firth conference

The 2018 NZILA Firth conference runs 11–13 April 2018 at ASB Waterfront Theatre, Wynyard Quarter, Auckland. This year’s conference will focus on water and ecologies; culture and community; spaces and places; and movement, in order to define the elements that are necessary, possible and inspirational for our cities today, and in the future.

Collaboration and multi-disciplinary teams provide the rich multi-faceted experiences that are the hallmark of successful urban environments. Contributions are welcomed to explore the creative thinking and innovative solutions that will not simply provide practical civic and public infrastructure, but also inspire urban dwellers and visitors and create civic places that people love.

International and local speakers include Dr. Julian Bolleter (assistant professor at the Australian Urban Design Research Centre at the University of Western Australia), Bart Brands (founding partner/senior landscape architect at karres+brands), Sacha Coles (director ASPECT Studios and adjunct professor, University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building) and Rachel de Lambert (NZILA landscape architect, director Boffa Miskell).
