The LSAA was established to promote and encourage the development, design, fabrication and construction of lightweight structures.

The 2013 LSAA (Lightweight Structures Association of Australasia) conference will be held at the Hilton Auckland Hotel from 13-15 November. With the theme Touching the Earth Lightly, the conference will be looking at the most efficient use of materials and resources in order to have a positive effect on the planet. Lightweight structures can encompass relocatable, reusable and recyclable structures and offer many sustainable advantages for architects, engineers and developers.

During the conference, the LSAA Design Awards winners will be announced. The awards are given in recognition of excellence in design, innovation, construction and application of lightweight structures.
