Creating living buildings in New Zealand is an inaugural event set up by Living Futures NZ and is designed to inspire, educate and connect like-minded individuals and groups to support and create restorative buildings and communities throughout New Zealand.

With a goal of aligning these buildings and communities with nature so that they give back to, rather than consume, our planet, this first session will include talks/presentations on a number of topics:

  • the challenges and opportunities for a restorative future
  • what is the The Living Building Challenge?
  • international LBC case studies in the Pacific NW
  • highlight the LBC resources available and how you can get involved
  • looking forward - future LFNZ events

Additionally, there will also be a indepth look at New Zealand’s first living building; Tuhoe - Te Uru Taumatua.

Tickets to this free event, which will be held on Wednesday 18 September from 5.30pm to 7.30pm in room WG403 of the Sir Paul Reeves Building at AUT,  are available here and further information can be found here.
