Parametric Tools and the Evolving Design Process

This lecture, presented by Liam Taylor of Holmes Consulting, will explore the potential of parametric modeling to solve complex problems and thereby help architects and building owners realize their designs while staying within rational engineering boundaries. It will canvas new technologies including the evolution of building design and modeling tools, leveraging programming skills to create design tools, and moving geometry and design intelligence between appropriate modelers, solvers, and documentation tools.

Presented by the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects, this lecture is just one in a series of activities and events, happening from October 23rd to 30th at a number of locations. To find out more about Auckland Architecture Week, click here.

Lecture begins at 6.30pm.
