The inaugural Sir Ian Athfield Memorial Lecture takes place at the St James Theatre, Wellington on 4 November from 5.30-7pm.

Sir Ian Athfield, who passed away early this year, was a singular and much-loved figure in New Zealand architecture. In his honour an annual public lecture series has been established. The inaugural lectures in 2015 will be delivered in Auckland and Wellington by the eminent Australian architect Peter Stutchbury, the recipient of the Australian Institute of Architects Gold Medal in 2015.
