Alice Hampson is an architect, sole practitioner, writer, architectural historian and one of a few practising Queensland architects who is a professional installation artist. Her design work has been published and has received awards both nationally and internationally. As a historian, Alice specializes in mid-twentieth-century works. She has been an assessor for cultural heritage, a visiting faculty member at both of Brisbane’s architecture schools, and a speaker at professional conferences in Australia and overseas. She was formerly Brisbane editor of Monument, and was a contributing writer for the magazine for over fifteen years.
