Kaldor Public Art Project #27, entitled 13 Rooms, brings together thirteen artists and more than seventy performers to present living sculptures inside thirteen purpose-built rooms at Sydney’s historic Pier 2/3 at The Rocks over eleven days in April.

Billed as the most ambitious visual arts project ever to be staged in Australia, the event is curated by renowned directors Hans Ulrich Obrist (co-director of London’s Serpentine Gallery), and Klaus Biesenbach (director of MoMA PS1 in New York). Artists for 13 Rooms are the Brisbane‐based collaborative duo Clark Beaumont (Nicole Beaumont and Sarah Clark), chosen to join acclaimed international artists Marina Abramović, Allora and Calzadilla, John Baldessari, Simon Fujiwara, Damien Hirst, Joan Jonas, Xavier Le Roy, Laura Lima, Roman Ondák, Tino Sehgal, Santiago Sierra and Xu Zhen.
