Kate Rogan is a director at Rogan Nash Architects and an NZIA-Award-winning architect whose experience spans office to high-end residential. We learn more about her as she joins the 2020 Interior Awards jury.

What will you be looking forward to while judging the Interior Awards 2020?

Kate Rogan (KR): Getting to know more designers and hearing about their work. These awards give a great snapshot in time, and it will be interesting to chat in depth about design that is happening right now.

If you could dispense one piece of advice to entrants, what would it be?

KR: Enter! It is easy to feel shy about your work, but people want to see it and want to be aware of the work their peers are producing – that includes you.

What is your favourite dish at the moment?

KR: I quite like making desserts. My dad is a trained patisserie chef, so I try to pick up a few tips from him. I make a meringue pie which is the kind of thing you make for special occasions: as in, it takes ages to make, but is delicious.

Entries for the 2020 Interior Awards open on 4 February. Click here to meet the rest of the 2020 Interior Awards jury.
